• Have footwear fitted whilst standing and towards the end of the day.
  • Properly fitted footwear shouldn’t need to be ‘broken in’.
  • If the site is wet, wear gumboots with safety toe caps.
  • The sole should only bend at the ball of the foot, not in the middle under the arch.
  • High ankle lace-ups provide the best first aid when left on and iced immediately after an injury.
