Gas Detector Calibration and Repairs

A gas detector (or gas monitor) will raise an alarm when the amount of certain gases is beyond an acceptable limit.

Precise calibration of personal gas detectors is necessary to get accurate and consistent readings of traces of various, potentially harmful gasses in the air.

If a gas detector has not been properly calibrated and records gas traces as being lower than they are, the outcome can be catastrophic.

For your personal safety, ensure your gas detector is calibrated and serviced according to the manufacturer’s specifications and Australian Standards.

Gas detectors should be bump tested before use, and serviced every 6 months to ensure the sensors are sensitive and the unit is working correctly under the casing.
