Did You Know...?

Metal Fume Fever is a recognised welder’s sickness - a condition resulting from inhaled exposure to some metals, producing flu like symptoms that often appear at night during sleep and disappear over weekends. Symptoms may appear four to twelve hours after exposure. Zinc, copper, magnesium, aluminium, antimony, iron, manganese, nickel (and their compounds) in welding, galvanising or smelting operations all cause metal fume fever.
