Rescue Tips

  • Have a viable rescue plan prior to any work at height.
  • The simplest form of rescue should always be the first (emergency services, manlifts, ladders).
  • Where ever feasible start the rescue from the ground up.
  • Self-rescue should always be available when there is a possibility of a lone worker being stranded at height.
  • A raising and lowering system used for rescue or non-emergency work should always be backed up with a fall arrest system.
