What You Need To Be Successful

Our goal is to build the strongest possible network and the key to achieving that goal is choosing the right people.

SafetyQuip franchisees come from all walks of life and most of them didn't come from a safety industry background. While safety industry experience would certainly be an advantage we don’t consider it essential. We’re confident that our intensive and on-going training programs will give you the safety knowledge you need to serve your customers with confidence.

However there are some skills and attributes we do consider essential…

• A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Building a successful business requires hard work and commitment and there will certainly be bumps along the way. You need to have resilience and be able to maintain an optimistic positive outlook, (cup half full rather than empty attitude), and understand and have the skills to capitalise on a solid franchise model along with other franchisees who add value to your business.

• Relationship selling skills
While SafetyQuip operates a predominantly B2B model we are in the business of providing goods and services to customers - and that involves selling, but the mobile component of the SafetyQuip model allows you to build relationships with customers in the comfort zone of their premises. It is essential that you are confident in selling.

• Computer literacy
A SafetyQuip franchise is heavily IT driven. We’ve developed a software program to manage all aspects of your business – sales, inventory control, budgets, payroll – so you need to be comfortable using a computer.

• An aptitude for learning
Our training program is extensive and it’s ongoing. There’s always something new to learn – new ways to improve your skills, expand your knowledge and increase your business advantage - so you need to enjoy learning.

• Ambition
If you are looking to buy yourself a job this is NOT the business for you.

• An upstanding character with solid financial history

A track record in sound personal financial management and being an upstanding  Australian citizen with a clean personal record matters.

• Access to sufficient funds

We are careful in our selection of franchisees to miminise the risk of financial stress due to under capitalisation.

• An advantage to have prior business experience

Although not essential a prior experience in running your own business or being brought up in a family that has run a business provides you with a significant advantage.
