Meet Mark and Suzie Beveridge - SafetyQuip Hunter Valley

Mark and Suzie started their SafetyQuip business in 2007. Based in Thornton, NSW they service a large rural territory extending from Newcastle north to the Manning River and westward to Singleton. Before joining the SafetyQuip family Mark was a Moree cotton farmer and Suzie - a registered nurse.

They chose to start up with a single sales van and have since expanded their business to include a retail outlet, where they offer a wide range of WH&S related products to the general public.

The Beveridge’s SafetyQuip franchise is the only one of its kind to offer door-to-door WH&S advice and supplies to workplaces throughout the Hunter Valley, and according to the couple, the convenience factor has proven a real hit with local customers.

Mark said, “Most of our customers are small or medium business owners and just don’t have time to run around town hunting down WH&S supplies—so  they love the fact that we go to them, instead of the other way around. But opening a retail shop was the logical step in growing the business, and to make it easier to keep up with customer demand."

As busy parents of 4 lively children Mark and Suzie love the fact that SafetyQuip is a family-oriented 5-day a week business.

"We really value spending time with our kids," Suzie said. "The business-to-business SafetyQuip model lets us enjoy our weekends and reserve that time for the family."
